I think they should have introduced Cho in this movie but I can kind of see why they didn't. She didn't play that big of a role in the 3rd book. She becomes more important in the next one. But I do like it when they introduce the characters who go to school prior to when they become important. The movie did move too fast. Nothing was really explained well and it didn't really "end." There was no end of term feast. You didn't even see what happened during Christmas break.

REPLY TO THE ABOUT THE MOVIE
I feel that way too, but i can also understand from the directors point of view as well. He was given a year to make a movie, which he really knew nothing about. Chris had made the First 2, giving you a picture in your mind of how the 3 one should have looked. I think that if he woudl have done the first 2 as well it wouldnt hvae been such a dramatic change from the first 2 to the 3 movie. The new director is only doing one movie so we are in for a change once again. As for the missing characters.. i think that HP3 was on a budget like all movies are. HP3 would cost alot more to make being wiht a new director wiht new ideas and all those special effects. Movie Making gets expensive fairly fast so i can see why actors were cut and scenes deleted. And even though i can see it from your points of view. i still know what a hard place the director must have been in to have to make the movie that way.

I liked it! But then again, I didn't really like the way some of the things was done. I have to admit, I haven't read all of the books but from what my sister says it strayed off from the books.

well, even if the ron/hermione relationship wasnt in the book, how many people do you know that dont start doing stuff like that at the age of 13? it wouldnt be realistic to the fact that theyre humans.

as a movie the movie is GREAT!!!!!!! but, yea too bad it doesn't stick strictly too the book, but thats ok...i mean, in an interview, JK Rowling said that there wuz a bunch of stuff in the movie that wuzn't in the book (i.e. the relationship btween ron and hermione) but she wuz like, ok, sure, it foreshadows stuff in the 6th and 7th books, so it wuz overall good...i mean, also the thing w/the relationship thing, i think the guy got that from the 4th book and the yule ball stuff, w/ron seeming to like hermione then, so...yeah...

*grrrr* I think he personally killed it. I mean yeah, if POA was just a movie then fine but it's a movie BASED on a book. A little fact of which he completely ignored. Plus they killed the appearances of like half the characters! I mourn for Flitwick. I'm REALLY glad they got a new direcror GOF.

BASED on a book does not mean a TRANSCRIPTION of the book, like the first two movies were...u can't expect everything to be exactly the same as in the book, cuts have to be made and things changed. I'm sure it'll be quite the same with the rest of the movies, especially since those books are all VERY long.

I know the movies aren't supposed to exactly like the book but still. There was almost nothing that was actually correct and half the movie wasn't even in the book. Granted, the first two followed the books so much they were almost boring, the third movie was so far from it it was insulting. All the directers need is a happy medium and the movie will be the best damn movie ever. Both directors just went WAY to far in one direction so that the movies weren't what they should be.

and the ironic thing is that... they both are GREAT directors.... it's the scenewrights that we need to have a chat with!!!! who are they?

This used to be my favorite book, and now it isn't. The first part was all right, and pretty true to the book. But they got rid of the maurader's backround story. And werewolf is bald. And they turned the harmless-looking snake into a terrifying clown.
